I bought this pen case based on the previous 5 star reviews. As it’s been stated it was extremely well packaged! The quality is exceptional, and the faux suede is expensive feeling. I’d looked at handmade ones and anything that could be converted to nice fountain pen case. For the price this absolutely can not be beaten. It has beautiful markings and really is exquisite looking, especially with my pens inside!Larger than I expected it to be, but overall it looks like the craftsmanship was good. Gave this as a gift, and my husband was quite happy with it. I hope this lasts a long time for his fountain pen collection.Received the item in Singapore in great condition, packaging was adequate.Item finishing is immaculate, I love it!Very nice product. The finish is a wonderful red streaked with black/dark brown. Smoothly finished with no rough spots on the finish. The lid is slightly domed and the glass is inset about an inch. The lining inside looks great, and there are no unsightly gaps or missing material. When you pull out the bottom drawer it stays level and slides freely. The lid with the glass stays up when raised fully. Every pen I own will fit in the grooves. The grooves are 6.75 inches long by .75 inches wide. This box is very well put together. An excellent way to keep your collectable pens together in style.The box is came well packed and protected. It looks really lovely and more expensive than it shows in the picture. My only minor complaint is the hinges make a bit of a rattle when you open the top. I like the slight bombe shape on the top - it is dressy and not just a plain box. Worth the money and makes a great gift - this was bought for my son who collects pens.If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive way of displaying and storing your pens, this is a great choice.I had purchased it mostly because I really liked the sleek, modern design, and wanted something with a clear top so that it could function as pen display as well as storage. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality - everything lines up exactly as it should, and it definitely looks and feels more solid and well constructed than I had been expecting for the price.My only minor complaint (and it's not enough of an issue to prevent me from recommending this) is with the quality of the hinges. The box includes two quadrant hinges to allow the lid to stay open at 90 degrees. While they do work perfectly for keeping the lid firmly open at 90 degrees, they seem to be a bit noisy when opening and closing the lid.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this item, and would definitely recommend it.Wow! The unit is wry attractive, finished and built to a very high standard, more than the price suggests. This is of excellent value. The pen slot dimensions are ample. My normal sized pens fit easily (lamy, Mont Blanc and pilot). Longer and wider pens should fit, no problem. Glad I bought this.Very nice display case, with a magntic latch that helps prevent careless carrying incidents. I have several, and the fully felted bottom makes it easy to stack them away without any harm. I really like these cases. They are well finished, made from real wood that is stained dark and clear coated in a matt finish. Nice feel good factor to see the pens you are using from your collection right now.
