I love almost everything about this Sheaffer pen. After a brief period of not delivering ink when starting to write, it then moved into a mode that smoothly delivers ink to the page with the proper flow so the ink is neither too thick or thin.I have to be careful about how I hold the pen to properly orient the nib to the paper. The very inexpensive Shearer pens I used in grade school, high school, college and graduate school had a round grip that helped me grip it correctly. This pen has a slightly tapered grip that is comfortable but does not result in a proper orientation of the nib every time I start to use it.
