The original All American pen was released in the 1930s at the dawn of the Depression to satisfy demand for an affordable writing instrument that offered the quality for which Conklin has become known. Drawing inspiration from the original models, Conklin have produced a modernised version of the classic All American.
This is a special edition demonstrator version, whose translucent barrel clearly shows the piston converter within. Contrasting polished trim in rose gold. It's a large pen, as it ought to be with such a name: the barrel measures 15mm wide, 144mm long closed, 126mm long open, 168mm posted. Weighs 31g.
The hefty cigar-shaped barrel is comfortable to hold, whilst the high-grade resin construction feels reassuringly well-made.
Uses standard International cartridges, and is supplied with a converter to use bottled ink. For the more adventurous, this edition is also sealed to be used as an eyedropper filler - for the highest ink capacity, you can fill the barrel directly with ink using an eyedropper.
Cap features the famous Conklin 'rocker-style' pocket clip. Barrel is engraved with the Conklin trademark and the model name. Screw-on cap can be securely posted to the end of the pen.
Polished nib available in a range of sizes. Supplied in a luxury Conklin gift box. All Conklin writing instruments are guaranteed for life against mechanical failure due to faulty workmanship or materials.
